Langridge’s Impasto Medium is an incredibly thick gel medium that can be added to oil colours for extra body without altering their colour intensity. Loved by artists for it’s thick buttery consistency and ability to holds incredible shape without slumping when applied thick.Can be applied with a brush or a palette knife. When worked using a brush or palette knife the medium becomes slightly looser allowing for easy incorporation with colours.Initially small additions will stiffen the handling of existing oil colours. As more medium is added, the oil colour will be suspended and extended forming a thick paste.Langridge Impasto Medium has a high oil content and, as such, is a ‘fat’ medium.
